Grieving God

Grieving Who We want God to Be So We Can See He is a God That Grieves with Us.

In the midst of deep grief, it’s natural to feel frustration—or even anger—toward God for not intervening in the ways we believe He could or should. He didn’t heal your loved one. He didn’t save your marriage. He didn’t protect your child from suffering. In these painful moments, it’s easy to wonder if God is grieving with us at all. Even Jesus, God’s own Son, experienced this anguish. As He hung on the cross, some of His final words expressed the pain of feeling forsaken by His Father in His darkest hour. This book offers a fresh perspective on grief, inviting you into a transformative journey. It guides you to confront not only the sorrow of your circumstances but also the expectations you may have placed on God. Sometimes, we need to grieve the version of God we thought He should be in order to truly discover the God who is. Through this process, you’ll begin to experience a deeper intimacy with Him—a God who grieves with you, for you, and over you. It’s in this raw, honest place that we begin to understand His heart and His presence in our pain. The first step is learning how to grieve God. Only then can we fully embrace the comfort and hope He offers in our brokenness.

Snares

Spiritual Traps That Pull Us Under

In the narrative of a man found within the pages of the Old Testament, we uncover insights into the hidden traps we often overlook or dismiss as insignificant. These seemingly minor behavioral issues can become major burdens that suffocate our spiritual life with each moment we fail to address them or alter our approach to life's challenges. Traps such as comparison, jealousy, hatred, slander, manipulation, control, and pride may appear as small character flaws, but they represent significant moral failings. Although they can be difficult to recognize, the story of Balak serves as a reflective mirror, allowing us to examine our own lives and identify where we, too, have fallen prey to these destructive traps. It takes you on an in-depth look at the ways these types of behaviors can sneak into your character without even realizing they are a major issue. This story also provokes us to reminder that self-reflection with God is essential to protecting ourselves from behaviors that will actually separate us from Him and His protective hand over our life.
